Passionate about transforming work into calling
Tending what He's given us
Beyond Business believes that God’s plan from the start was for His people to abide in faith within every aspect of life – including our daily work.
We were founded in 2016, but we’ve seen the impact of doing work differently for much longer.
Sharing the mission
It began in 1992, when Jon Jasper stepped into the oil-and-gas industry with a new way to do business. His company, now called Jasper, was created from the ground-up with the intention that his faith would inform not only his business principles – but the very way he approached his work, his employees, and his community.
He wasn’t alone. More businesses and individuals wanted to shape their view of work so they too could step more fully into God’s purpose.
Jasper answered the call in 2016, sending Beyond Business out on mission.

Cornerstones of meaningful work
These values guide all we do:
Joyful
No matter what, we choose joy.
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
James 1:2-4
Generous
Our hands are wide open.
“They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share. …”
1 Timothy 6:18
Obedient
If God says so, we say YES!
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”
John 15:4
Courageous
We know God is big enough.
“For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God – his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.”
Psalm 18:29-30
As my stay-home-mom days were coming to a close, I began to ask the Lord for a meaningful job. I didn’t want just any job; it needed to be meaningful! The Lord is sweet and knows my slow learning, so he took me on a journey to teach me that all work matters. He created us to work, with him, for the good of all mankind. He used the workplace to teach me these principles. I have been loving and caring for employees within a for-profit business for the past 7 years, earning the right to tell them about their Creator – if invited. As the Lord has taught me about the gift of all work and calling, I have shared it with others. They too, now work with purpose beyond their paycheck. It’s a worshipful experience. Beyond Business is a place to learn about faith and work integrated, be encouraged and equipped, and connect with others along the journey. I am grateful and humbled to learn with you.

Why Beyond Business
I was introduced to the idea of bridging the gap between faith and the workplace in 2016 and have watched it transform the people and culture within Jasper. Since we did not want to keep all we had learned to ourselves, we started sharing these concepts with others and have seen God moving in workplaces across East Texas through Beyond Business. Now that Beyond Business has been founded as a nonprofit, we believe it can have even more impact in our community. We are excited for the opportunity to equip, educate, and encourage others that faith and work don’t have to be two separate entities in their lives. We can’t wait to see what God will do in our workplaces and across our community as a result!

Why Beyond Business
In regards to time spent, my life (and maybe yours too) is broken up into three “equal” sections: (1) work, (2) sleep and (3) everything else. Beyond Business has been instrumental in teaching and training me to see work the way God sees work, which leads to a more fulfilling, impactful life. Excited to be a part of the future of Beyond Business as they educate and equip believers to redeem even the most mundane parts of your work day to the glory of God.

Why Beyond Business
What does my work mean to the Lord? Why does he have me here and not on a foreign mission field? How can I live authentically as a business leader in corporate America without minimizing my true identity in Christ? Those were the questions that God kept putting into my mind when I first encountered Beyond Business. Finally, a room full of other businessmen and women seeking ways to put God first in all domains of their life – especially the workplace! God has used Beyond Business to speak to me about my true worth, not only at church and community, but also in the office. Ways to incorporate prayer, discipleship, community, and truth. Sometimes with merely a new personal perspective and sometimes with tangible actions. I sincerely believe that God is using the events and relationships built through Beyond Business to answer prayers and draw our community closer to Him.
